Kickoff
Black and lime green with a purple glow. Aimed squarely at the parent booking a trial.
Football academies, clubs & coaching
Three designs you can browse, built for academies, clubs and coaching businesses. Pick one and we start there.
An academy website has one job most of the year: convert a parent who has heard you are good into a booked trial. Everything else is secondary to that.
A parent decides at 9pm. An email address loses them.
Parents pay, book and drive. Write for them.
The three things every parent checks first.
For under-18s it's the unspoken question behind every enquiry.

See the package for football academies, clubs & coachingA trial booking route that works on a phone, your age groups, your session times and venues, your coaching qualifications, and your safeguarding position. Parents are the buyer even when the player is the user, and they are checking three things: is it convenient, is it good, and is my child safe. A site that answers those three plainly outperforms a flashier one that does not.
Almost always by removing friction rather than adding persuasion. Make the trial bookable online, ask for the minimum information, confirm immediately, and follow up automatically. A large share of academy enquiries arrive in the evening and at weekends — precisely when nobody is checking the inbox — so anything that depends on a human replying leaks sign-ups.
Parents, for the decision; players, for the aspiration. The imagery and tone can absolutely speak to a young player — that is what makes them want to come — but the practical content, the booking flow and the reassurance are all for whoever is paying and driving. Sites that get this wrong look brilliant and convert badly.
Qualifications, safeguarding, logistics and cost, roughly in that order once they are past the initial interest. DBS checks, a named safeguarding officer, coach badges and clear session times do more for conversion than any amount of design. If you are FA-affiliated or hold a club accreditation, say so prominently.
Yes. Any organisation working with under-18s should have a safeguarding policy, a named designated safeguarding lead and DBS-checked staff, and the website is where parents look for it. Publishing it is not a legal formality — it is one of the strongest trust signals you have, and the academies that hide it in a PDF footer are wasting it.
Yes. Recurring monthly subscriptions for regular sessions, one-off payments for camps and holiday courses, and paid trials can all be handled online. It is worth doing: chasing subscription payments manually is one of the biggest time drains in running an academy, and automating it usually pays for the site by itself.
Location plus age group is the pattern that converts — "football academy for 8 year olds in Telford" rather than "football coaching". A page per venue and a page per age group covers that properly. Local searches dominate this sector because parents will not drive far midweek, so a well-maintained Google Business Profile matters as much as the site.
Yes. Rugby, cricket, netball, tennis, athletics and multi-sport academies all share the same structure: age groups, sessions, venues, coaches, safeguarding, trials. The designs on this page suit any of them — only the photography and the language around progression really change.
