The start: a trust-first sale to people who are already having a bad week
UK Housing Claims is part of a growing portfolio of claim enquiry platforms we build for legal firms, spanning social-housing disrepair through to road-traffic injury.
Legal services are a trust-first sale, and this end of the market has a particular difficulty. Your claimant is often:
- In a genuinely difficult situation — living with damp, or recovering from an accident.
- Wary of being sold to. Claims marketing has a reputation, and people have learned to be suspicious of it.
- Not especially confident online, sometimes on an older phone and a limited data plan.
So the site has to do two contradictory-sounding things at once. It needs to convert at volume, because a firm needs a reliable flow of genuine claimants. And it needs to feel like help rather than a hard sell, because the moment it feels like a claim farm the right people leave.
Get that balance wrong in either direction and you either get no enquiries or a pile of ones nobody can progress.
The middle: what we actually built
1. Write it for a person, not a case file
Plain language, short sentences, no jargon, no assumed knowledge.
That sounds obvious and is surprisingly rare. Legal content drifts toward the language the firm uses internally, which is exactly the language that makes a nervous claimant close the tab.
2. Remove everything that makes it feel predatory
No countdown timers. No invented compensation figures. No aggressive urgency.
Those tactics do lift short-term conversion, which is precisely why they’re everywhere — and they’re also why the sector has the reputation it has. Firms are judged on tone by regulators as well as by clients, and a site that reads as predatory costs you on both fronts.
3. Ask the qualifying questions in the journey
The criteria that separate a genuine claimant from a non-starter are built into the flow rather than discovered on a phone call afterwards.
That’s what turns volume into something useful. A hundred enquiries a case handler can’t progress is worse than twenty they can.
4. Build it so the next one is quick
The funnel, the platform and the enquiry handling are built to carry across. What changes for a new claim type is the content and the qualifying criteria, not the whole build.
That’s how this became a portfolio rather than four separate projects: UK Housing Claims and Bike Crash Claims are live, Car Crash Claims is in development and Personal Injury Claims is in the pipeline.
The end: what it left them with
- Four claim platforms built or in build, from one repeatable system.
- Two already live and taking enquiries.
- A journey that works for someone stressed, wary and on an old phone.
- Qualifying built in, so what reaches a case handler can be progressed.
We’re not going to quote you conversion figures here. These are early-stage builds and we’ll publish numbers when they’re real and the client has approved them — not before. What’s already proven is the model: compliant, trust-led claim enquiry platforms built around how legal firms actually win work.
If you run a firm that needs genuine claimants without the claim-farm reputation, tell us what you need and Harry will come back to you personally.
