Digital Project Manager
A digital project manager role at HDC Consultancy, owning delivery of websites and marketing campaigns end to end. You turn signed projects into clear plans, keep the team unblocked and are the point of contact clients trust.
Five minutes. A person reads every one.
The role
For someone who has run web or marketing projects before and is tired of doing it without the authority to go with it. You hold the scope, the timeline and the client relationship, and you report to the founder rather than through a layer of account management.
You turn signed projects into scopes, timelines and tasks on the board, then keep developers and marketers moving against them. When a client wants to know where their website is, they ask you.
We run lean and async on Teams, so the job is not sitting in meetings. It is writing a brief clear enough that nobody has to ask twice, and seeing the blocker a week before it lands.
What you'll do
- 1 Turn new projects into clear scopes, timelines and board-ready tasks
- 2 Coordinate developers and marketers so nobody is waiting on a decision
- 3 Be the person the client contacts, and answer before they have to chase
- 4 Keep projects on time and on budget, and raise a risk while it is still fixable
- 5 Send short written updates that say what moved and what happens next
- 6 Fix the parts of our delivery process that keep costing us time
What we need from you
The essentials. If you have these, apply.
- Experience managing web, marketing or creative projects end to end
- Strong written communication. Most of this job is writing things down
- Comfortable running work on a board with several projects live at once
- Commercially aware. You notice scope creep and say something about it
- Calm when a launch slips, and organised enough that it usually does not
Helpful, but not required
Missing all of these? Apply anyway. None of it is a dealbreaker.
- Agency background
- Understanding of web build and paid media workflows
- Familiarity with tools like Notion, Trello, ClickUp or similar
- A basic grasp of SEO and analytics
What good looks like
How we'll know it's going well, so you know what you're measured on.
- Projects land on time and on budget, and the client is not surprised by either
- Clients know what stage their project is at without having to ask
- Developers and marketers are never sat waiting, because you saw it coming
- Each project runs a little tighter than the last, because you changed something
Why join HDC
100% remote
We care what you deliver, not where you sit. Most of the team is UK-based and some roles are open worldwide. Each role says which. Async-first on Teams.
Live client work
No filler projects. You are on client websites and campaigns from your first week.
High standards, room to grow
Written briefs and a high bar. As we grow, so does the job.
Long-term and stable
We hire people to stay. The ones who do end up shaping how the agency works.
How we hire
Five steps.
- 1
Apply
The form takes about five minutes. A short paragraph on why the role interests you, and your CV if you have one to hand.
- 2
We come back to the people going through
If you are going through to the next stage, we will be in touch seven days after the closing date.
- 3
An informal conversation
Thirty minutes on video with Harry. He wants to hear how you think, and to answer whatever you want to ask him.
- 4
A short paid task
A small piece of work, so we both find out what it is like. We pay for your time whether or not we make an offer.
- 5
Offer
If it suits us both, we move quickly. No fifth round, no chasing us for an answer.
Apply for this role
Tell us about yourself and why this role interests you. A person reads every application. If you are going through to the next stage, we will be in touch seven days after the closing date.
